PHPBB2 forums

PHPBB2 forum software is officially unsupported from the beginning of year 2009, but since very many forums are still powered by that version of PHPBB, we have made a plugin for PHPBB2 that is compatible with widely spread EasyMOD plugin installation tool that can add the Iframe code to necessary places automatically for you.

In case you don't have EasyMOD installed, you can also just read the install file with any text editor and follow the instructions because all the instructions should be easy to understand - uploadmod_1.0.0.zip.html

Since there are also different quick reply modifications for PHPBB2, we have made special versions of EasyMod installation files for them to make it easier for modified boards to add our Iframe solution.

Simple Quick Reply 2 compatible install file: uploadmod_simple_quick_reply2_1.0.0.zip.html
Quick Post Expansion Set (qpes) compatible install file: uploadmod_qpes_compatible_1.0.0.zip.html

All above files have been tested with PHPBB 2.0.23 and EasyMOD 0.4. Special quick reply installs have been tested with their lates available versions.
If you don't have EasyMOD installed or the EasyMod displays some errors during installation, you can also just follow the instructions in install.txt but you have to remember to change language file for all languages and template file for all templates.
EasyMod directory where installation files should be placed is by default admin/mods in the root directory of your forum.

PHPBB3 forums

PHPBB3 forums also have a helper named AutoMOD that makes installing of modifications much easier.

Install file compatible with AutoMOD can be found here: Upload_MOD_v1.0.0.zip.html
If you don't have subsilver2 or prosilver style installed in your board, you can ignore messages about those files being missing and proceed with the install by clicking "Force Install". Also you can ignore messages about not finding en/posting.php or et/posting.php files (depending on what languages you have installed). If your forum has some other language than english you may need to edit your language file manually according to install.xml.

This installation has been tested with PHPBB 3.0.4 default install with subsilver2 template and AutoMOD 1.0.0 beta 2.

NB! Before changing or saving anything, make sure you are able to restore your forum to previous state since Upload.ee cannot be held responsible if you ruin your forum due to an accident or due to the fact that you didn't know what you were doing exactly! If you don't have previous experience doing modifications to your forum and your forum is very important, we strongly suggest you to find someone who has previous experience and skills to ensure correct and seamless modification.
